Warehouse Apartment, Surry Hills

Our brief for this two level residence was to create a crisp monochromatic backdrop to busy life in inner Sydney.

We streamlined multiple ceiling heights and wall planes, refreshed dated joinery and finishes, provided light into the kitchen area and added some much needed storage.

Terrazzo flooring was laid in the entry foyer and continued into the bathrooms. The walls in the bedrooms were stripped back to reveal the original bare brick of the warehouse structure, adding some texture and colour to the otherwise black, white and grey palette.
Silver mirror was used extensively in the main bathroom to bounce light in a space devoid of natural lighting and to play with visual perception.
